War Kitties in Hammocks
Carriers and other vessels got infested with rodents. So cats were not just moral boosters (which they very much were) they were also working members of the crew. Some have even been immortalized for surviving multiple attacks on their ships, etc. Military dogs have been recognized for the important roles they’ve played but I think cats kinda get lost in the shuffle of military animals sometimes.
This is an instant reblog.
God I love animals <3 God knew what he was doing when he gave us cats and dogs specifically.
This blog post is so poignant and brings up a great point. So many are guilty of this — I am and I shouldn’t have considering how much flack I got from some older church members when I was a teen. I remember a couple who had asked my dad to officiate their wedding came to the church one morning to see my dad preach. Dad wanted to introduce them to me but the bride declined, stating I looked “intimidating” clad head to toe in black. I was a hypocrite when I judged a woman years later for dressing in what I deemed fitting for a streetwalker. Reading this blog post left my heart convicted and I was moved to pray and repent for that because what if my disapproving glance made her leave the church and turn from God like the teen in this woman’s blog post? We should be focused on the joy and glory of God rather than what our brothers and sisters are wearing. Many churches have a come as you are policy when it comes to dress code and, while I feel it best to wear business to business casual to church, I realize not everyone can afford those clothes or have other personal reasons for coming in jeans. The point is that they have joined us to worship our Lord and that speaks more than whatever t-shirt they’re wearing. A t-shirt cannot save us from eternity in Hell — only God can decide that. Read Kimberly Suchta’s blog post and take some time to reflect on her words and find where you can apply that to yourself and how you conduct yourself on a daily basis. If more people took a moment to realize their actions and correct them I think we would all be better off as a society. Not a sermon, just a thought.

This is fucking ignorant, Hamas is trying to defend Palestinians due to the fact Zionist of Israel have been slaughtering their people the last week or so. Regardless of the Hamas attacks, since great old America gives millions maybe billions of tax dollars worth of military weapons including high technological defense weapons, those “attacks” don’t do shit. The defense systems shoot down most of those missiles used in attacks. So how are Israelites doing so far? I’m sure a lot better off than the hundreds wounded and killed in Gaza.
So people who read this sign should do their own research, NOT only what America has to say (which most of the time is nothing but crap) but what the global news is over in Gaza. You’ll find translations. You’ll find videos. And you’ll find truth.
Hamas is trying to defend Palestinians?
Which is why they put military equipment in schools, hospitals, mosques, playgrounds. Anything they know will get the most casualties.
That’s a funny interpretation of “defense.”
I’d also like to note that there were mortars fired from Gaza into Israel by Hamas during the agreed cease fire that was supposed to allow humanitarian volunteers to safely cross through to help civilians. Hamas is a bunch of cowards. They hide behind women and children while promoting hate and violence. They all deny Israel’s right to exist and care more that they are there than they care about their own people. If they took all the money, time, and energy they put into hate and killing and put it toward bettering their own countries and providing for their children things would be so much better over there. Israel is the one and the only Jewish state in the world; there are numerous arab states. Let them live and let them be. They have a right to defend themselves and shouldn’t be shamed for doing so. If some country fired missiles into America you bet America would strike back with holy vengeance. Why should Israel be any different?
We don’t always understand God’s methods. His ways don’t always make sense to us, but we have to realize that God sees the big picture. Consider this possibility: You may be ready for what God has for you, but somebody else who is going to be involved is not ready yet. God has to do a work in another person or another situation before your prayer can be answered according to God’s will for your life. All the pieces have to come together for it to be God’s perfect time.
But never fear; God is getting everything lined up in your life. You may not feel it; you may not see it. Your situation may look just like it did for the past ten years, but then one day, in a split second of time, God will bring it all together. When it is God’s timing, all the forces of darkness can’t stop Him. When it’s your due season, God will bring it to pass.
You must learn to trust God’s timing. You can be sure that right now, God is arranging all the pieces to come together to work out His plan for your life. He has been working in your favor long before you encountered the problem. Don’t grow impatient and try to force doors open. Don’t try to make things happen in your own strength. The answer will come, and it will be right on time.
While the “bring back our girls” fire concerning the 250 Nigerian girls kidnapped by Muslim insurgents is quickly dying, another 250 Christian girls were a
All in the name of the “religion of peace.” How sick! Where’s Michelle’s hashtag campaign for these girls?
"Societies that restrict abortion don’t interfere with what a woman does with her own body. They interfere with what she proposes to do with someone else’s body. Few societies expect a woman to keep her baby if it’s inconvenient to her, but they do expect her not to kill it. Or used to.
…In our times feminists contend that social equality is a compelling reason. They interpret it as women having no burdens imposed on them that aren’t also imposed on men. Since nature imposes pregnancy only on women, in order to even the scales, women should be entitled to an absolute license to terminate their pregnancies on demand.
This is the essence of the feminist argument, though it’s seldom put so bluntly. The matriarchy needs popular support to achieve its ambitions, and while members of the Me Generation are ready to pull the plug on anybody for selfish reasons, few face the logic of their position. They can’t quite bring themselves to grant women a licence to kill, like 007. This is why the debate is filled with pious rhetoric about women controlling their own bodies, or lives aborted not being “life.” Ironically, the pro-choice crowd usually oppose capital punishment — except for the crime of inconveniencing a woman.
Inconveniencing men is okay. Fathers can’t opt out of child-support if the mother decides to keep the baby, no matter how “inconvenient” fatherhood may be for them. Nor could a father save his child’s life even by assuming sole responsibility for its maintenance.
Men and women are supposed to be equal. What’s sauce for the gander is sauce for the goose. Yet fatherhood is compelled by law, while motherhood is a matter of choice. How do lawmakers get around this hurdle? In the same way they get around any question for which there’s no answer in logic or equity. They ignore it.”
